アメリカンコミックスの実写化を日本で、という、とても挑戦的な作品です。

頭も身体もいっぱい使って、新しい世界観に必死で食らいついたつもりです。

はじめて現場に立った時のような、ひりひりする感覚や、ドキドキする瞬間を沢山味わえた、そんな新鮮な現場でした。

自由を奪われた生活の中でも、自分らしく生きる方法を模索し、声を上げ続ける登場人物たちのエネルギーを、皆様にも是非体験していただきたいです

アメリカンコミックスを「ウォーキング・デッド」の制作陣と⽇本を舞台にドラマ化したい。この挑戦的な作品への打診から⼀年半の間、ずっとヒリヒリし続け刺激的な毎⽇でした。

新しいチャレンジが詰まった世界観はもちろん、
⼀番の⾒どころは極限の状況下で理不尽な運命に翻弄されながらも、
どうにかそこを切り抜けようと⾃らの⽣に縋って⽣きるキャラクタ−達です。

⾃分の夢を叶えるために、

愛する⼈を守るために、

本当の⾃分を探すために、

理想の私になるために、

失ったものを取り戻すために、

SF でありながらも共感できるキャラクターばかりできっと勇気が湧いてくるはず。完成間近の今、ワクワクが⽌まらないです。

I first took on this challenge of adapting an American comic book into a live action series based in Japan with producers from “The Walking Dead”, a year and a half ago. It has been a thrilling and exciting experience.

The production is filled with many new challenges,
but the best part is the characters who are willing to fight for their existence and freedom
in an irrational world, despite the odds -

in order to fulfill their dreams,

in order to protect the people they love,

in order to find their true selves,

in order to become the ideal version of themselves,

in order to regain what they have lost.

I am convinced that even though this is a Sci-Fi series, viewers will be able to relate to the characters.

Now that the production is complete, I can’t wait for the world to see it.
