The World of Tim Burton

After great success in Tokyo, long-awaited exhibition is finally arriving in Osaka!

From “Edward Scissorhands” to “Nightmare before Christmas” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” Tim Burton is known across the globe for his “cute but rather uncanny” exquisite world that has allured fans everywhere.

Mr. Burton’s source of inspiration for such a fantasy world that is rather queer but filled with heart-warming charm comes from his vast collection of sketches. As a means to communicate, Mr. Burton drew illustrations regularly since he was a young boy. Now the collection finally arrives here to be shown in Japan.

At this exhibition, you will witness valuable materials such as sketches, photos, objects, and letters, including previously unreleased video work that was recorded when Mr. Burton was in his early teens, a total of over 500 collection items that will land in Japan for the very first time. There’s no doubt you’ll be immersed in Mr. Burton’s world of ingenuity, in witnessing his remarkable talent!
