Marc Chagall et l'avant-garde russe dans les collections du Centre Pompidou

Marc Chagall’s masterpieces from the collection of Centre Pompidou are coming to Japan, as well as paintings by Russian Avant-garde artists from the same period. Marc Chagall is one of the most well-known and leading artists of the 20th century. His use of vivid colors and gravity-defying paintings of humans and animals are popular among the Japanese. During this event, many paintings that represent Chagall will be exhibited, along with the rough design he drew for the scenic art and costumes for “The Magic Flute” performed at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York.
