As a responsible member of society, Fuji Television gives back to its various communities and conducts environmental conservation activities on a global scale.

In a swift response to the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11th, 2011, Fuji Television launched the "Kids Support Project" which sent toys, children's books, stationary and other items directly to evacuation facilities, as well as primary and elementary schools. This great disaster acutely affected not only the damaged areas, but the whole nation of Japan on many levels. Fuji Television, companies under Fuji Media Holdings, and affiliated network stations came together as one to actively and continuously partake in social contributions such as reading sessions and educational events in areas affected by the disaster as well as numerous locations nationwide.

FNS Charity Campaign

Since 1974, in cooperation with the Japan Committee for UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), Fuji Television and its affiliated network stations have continued to support disadvantaged children of the world through the "FNS charity campaign." Under the main theme, "For the smiles of children around the world," we call out to our viewers to support children in need. In 2010, contributions collected through this campaign reached 3.6 billion yen. Subsequent the Great East Japan Earthquake, we are focusing on providing aid to children who were victims of the disaster.

The Grand Prize for the Global Environment Award

Fuji Television proactively tackles environmental issues which are the biggest challenge of the 21st century. The entire company is taking measures to reduce and eliminate greenhouse gases while also airing environmentally-friendly programs to educate our viewers.
As a member of the Fujisankei Communications Group (FCG), Fuji Television supports the "The Grand Prize for the Global Environment Award." This award was established in 1992 with special cooperation from the Japanese wing of the global conservation organization, WWF (Honorary president: His imperial highness, Prince Akishino).
As of 2011, its 20th commemorative anniversary, 207 corporations and local governments have received this award. The prize is one of Japan's most prestigious environmental prizes, which honors those who harmonize "Environment" and "Economy" as compatible elements and further the goal of realizing a sustainable society.
